Childhood fantasy man
Just out of curiosity, guys: who were your favorite fantasy men when you were growing up? Sports heroes, tv or movie stars? Mine was Robert Conrad, especially as Jim West on THE WILD WILD WEST. Sigh.......those tight tight pants he always wore, plus I LIVED for those scenes where he appeared shirtless! So tell me who YOU lusted after as a kid!!!

Yeah, I DO remember masturbating to Mr. Conrad while I lied on the couch, watching "WWW," but for me, Robert C. was only a fill-in when I couldn't find a true Muscleman.
As far as my youth, I specifically remember watching Dave Draper as he appeared on an episode of "The Beverly Hillbillies," as himself. OMG, he was so muscular and hot! In fact, when a rerun of that episode was broadcast in the '80's, I remember programing my brother's VCR to record it one weekend, when I was visiting him! Then, later, in the middle of the night, while I spent the weekend in my brother's living room, I rewound the video tape recorder and watched the scene, while my brother slept in the other room. I jacked off to Dave and enjoyed every minute of it! :) ...while my brother slept.

Ha! I know EXACTLY which episode of "Beverly Hillbillies" you're referring to!!! I've seen it often. But of course, for me as a kid it was always a red-letter day when a Steve Reeves Hercules movie would air on TV! Wow, I'd plan my whole week around that to make sure I'd be able to watch it!

if this counts, WBF magazine (I think it was called Bodybuilding Lifestyles in the states), had an issue in the early 90's with Gary Strydom riding a motorbike on the cover. It had an article on Jim Quinn doing squats, his bulge was amazing, and kept me busy for months... if anyone has a copy, I'd love to see some scans. you know, to re-live my youth.

Accessing the memory banks...ones who come to mind:
TV/movies: Gordon Scott as Tarzan. Clint Walker.
TV/Entertainment/Athletics: Pro wrestlers Ken Patera, Nikolai Volkov
Athletes: Jack Youngblood, Gary Carter, Steve Yeager
I'm sure there are more, but they were mainstays.

Saturday afternoon, ABC's Wide World of Sports, whenever they covered a bodybuilding contest. Also, the Superstars competitions in the 70's when short shorts and tight t shirts were the uniforms. How about the old Flash Gordon serials that were rerun in the 60's? Robert Conrad, Gary Conway. Hell, even Lee Majors in polyester got me going.

@alexfromusa: Ah yes.....Clint Walker! Cheyenne!!! How could I have forgotten HIM????
Posted 2 years ago by Member
Mine were very similar; Hercules flicks were always a treat, ESP. Steve Reeves!
Tarzan too, provided it was Gordon Scott or Mike Henry. Cheyenne was in daily syndication in my market, so
I got to enjoy Clint Monday thru Friday! Another cowboy I had the hots for was in a late 60s, early 70s
show called 'Laredo'. It had a pretty boy, a hunk, & a frog! Don't remember the P.B.'s name, the frog was Neville
Brand, & the Hunk was William Smith. That man was HOT! He looked as if he competed in some contests, as he was
alot bigger than the other 2! More cut than Clint, but alike as they both showed great bodies, even fully clothed.
Animated heroes were plentiful too when I was a kid. Spaceghost just about always got me off!

@bicfetish: As for animated hunks, I always had the hots for Race Bannon on "Jonny Quest!" Do you think maybe he and Dr. Quest were TV's first down-low gay couple????

Okay, I also have to add, David Cassidy (Keith Partridge) I kinda liked (although obviously not muscular), but my favorite weekly thang was Greg Brady. OMG he was cute.

Sean, I can top that: I had a huge crush on Tony Dow (Wally on "Leave it to Beaver.") I was so jealous of The Beaver, getting to share a room with that hunk and probably having all sorts of opportunities to see him naked....

Sean, surprised you weren't into the pro wrestling. Not necessarily the preening or the excessive words or styling. But for a 200+ pound man, standing there, big and strong, then super strong man Ken Patera, with his amplified arrogance and dominance, would take him on and press him, slam him, squeeze him until he submitted. Same with Nikolai Volkov, who had a thunderous chest and who just overwhelmed his smaller opponents. Seems like it's one of the themes in the chronicles of Sean. :) Saturdays, on the local independent channels...somehow usually found time to turn it on.
Oh, and had forgotten about Mike Henry as Tarzan. Those long, powerful legs. Think he was dark haired, but somehow rarely got that in my line of sight.

My first muscle turnons came from the Undergear catalog. For me it was better than porn, or rather it WAS porn, because it was all about my twin fetishes: beautifully muscled men, and tight, skimpy, bulge-revealing gear. It wasn't until a little later that I discovered the bodybuilding mags, where the concentration on these two aspects was even more intense, and added the element of narcissism and competition that just sent me over the edge. Specifically, my teenage cum fantasies revolved around Gary Strydom, Craig Titus, Troy Zuccolotto and Franco Santoriello.

Rob24: Following up on your comment about Tony Dow -- I agree 100%. I can see him posing in one of those 1950's AMG flicks, covered in baby oil, wearing one of those home-made posers that barely holds him in...
Or how about a special episode of LITB where Wally teaches his little brother to masturbate?
Posted 2 years ago by Member
Oh musclpkg!!!!! I can just see Beaver, Wally, Eddie Haskell, and Lumpy Rutherford having a circle jerk in the upstairs bedroom, while Ward and June remain oblivious downstairs in the living room!!!! ROFL!!!
Posted 2 years ago by Member
Rob24! Good 1! Possibly a little plaster may fall from the ceiling above Ward & June...
June's response, 'Ward, I think Wally is pressing his hard-on on the Beaver again!'
Ward, pulling his pipe out of his mouth, 'Yes, dear, I'll have a few words with the boys.'
June: 'Try not to bore them to tears, Ward. After all, they're just growing, HORNY boys!'
BTW Sean, I think I threw up a little, in my mouth when I read about Cassidy & Brady! :(
& Rob, Why do you think Jonny never snuck into Dr. Quest's bedroom at night?

Okay, bicfetish, we have proven time and time again that we are of like minds.......so MARRY ME ALREADY!!!! lol.....

hilariously 'wrong' topic... lol! you guys crack me up. and, as we're all also somewhat inadvertently dating ourselves, my first crush, and the single individual I blame for the lust for muscle I suffer from today has got to be He-Man. even at that young age, i recognized the difference between normal animation and rotoscoping, and assumed (based on how it was all put together, repetitive, and smoothly animated) that He-Man was based on a real life mountain of muscle.
mmm, mmm... loved every second of that show! :P

Well, I also ogled Steve Reeves in Hercules. And I did have a friend who looked remarkably like Wally who also dressed like him. Oh, and he was obviously hung......so there was a lot to like. Also Superman comics (any storm in a port) and the occasional muscle mag. But I cannot forget Little Joe on Ponderosa. How tastes change with time, though.
Posted 2 years ago by Member
Hey there, ManOMan! It's about TIME you showed up here! But really........little Joe Cartwright?????? I was more into Adam Cartwright myself; I like 'em dark and moody.
Posted 2 years ago by Member
Hi, Rob24!! Nice to hear from you! Yeah, he was kinda cute and clean-cut. But golly, gee-willakers, I forgot one thing that stuck in my mind as a kid. They used to show those Mexican high divers on TV (Sunday afternoons?) who dove (dived?) off of very high cliffs into what looked like 3 inches of water below. When they left the cliff, head first, the camera angle showed their speedo bulges from a very interesting angle. And there I was, a teenager, trying to look totally disinterested while I was hard as a rock.

Yeah, Joe Cartwright (Michael Landon-- right?)-- he was HOT. I even remember watching Michael Landon on "Little House" when I was married, and lusting after him then! ...
For me, though, I specifically remember one episode of "The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson" when he had a guest on the show who was a bodybuilder... My family happened to be down at the coast at the time, and we were all (big family) packed in the living room of the beach house one evening when... this massive bodybuilder came on the TV screen. I don't know who it was; but he posed and preened on the screen... THAT is my earliest memory of jacking off (in the bathroom, minutes later).

How about this vivid account I read somewhere on the net of the effect Dave Draper had on some poor muscle addict!
I'm a junior law student in college. The campus cinema is playing a revival of George Axelrod's satire, "Lord Love a Duck." I'm there with my buddies, all of us stoned out of our minds. The credits come on, I notice "David Draper", and I start to tingle. You see, for years, I've been jacking off to the image of him flexing his 21 inch biceps in the comic book ads . And, of course, I had spied him on the cover of Muscle Builder magazine which I thumbed through whenever I was in the city but was too nervous to actually buy. Dave's scene is about 15-20 minutes into the movie. At a lovers' parking spot, Roddy McDowell, the scrawny lead despite the entreaties of Tuesday Weld, he decides to pick a fight with the tough football stud. The audience erupts into laughter at the disparity between their two bodies. But I'm not laughing – I have an instant hard-on! I begin hyperventilating at this massively muscled beach boy bursting out of his white tee-shirt and painted-on jeans. Nobody outside my wet dreams could possibly look and move like that! My hard-on endures long after the laughter dies down. Finally, I can't stand it any longer, and with a few discreet strokes of pocket pool, I explode in my underwear. After a few minutes, I go off to the men's room to clean up, telling my buddies later that I was really wrecked, man.

I remember seeing ads for chest expanders and other portable exercise equipment in comic books, when I was young. I remember my penis would go hard, without understanding why. When I became a horny teenager around the age of 13 or 14, my all time favourite picture was of a guy called Don Wright (it was probably a fictitous name) promoting the old "bullworker". The ad showed a small picture of him, a skinny guy holding a rake, before he started working out, and then a huge glossy picture of supposedly the same guy in a bathing suit, boasting of muscles, doing a most muscular pose with his hands on his hips. I can't tell you how many times I ejaculated over this pic. I used to search for pictures of ordinary guys in magazines and brochures, and position these beside the pic of Don, and go absolutely wild over how much bigger and muscular Don appeared. I'd also draw different items of clothing, like shorts or a T-shirt, colour them in and position them over the picture of Don, so that it would appear he was wearing ordinary clothes. Then I'd take the items of clothing away, imagining he was doing a strip tease, and go absolutely insane over seeing his bare chest.
Another early memory of muscle addiction was watching an episode of "The Streets of san Francisco" back in 1978, which happened to feature Arnold Swartzenneger. The synopsis of the episode was a young woman who befriended a guy while jogging, and invites him back to her house. They start talking and he mentions he was going to compete in a bodybuilding competition in a few weeks. She asks him to take his shirt off, and when he does.......I became totally mesmerised by his massive pecs. It was a most bewildering, yet entrancing experience, and I became more and more aroused as he began flexing. But back to the story......she begins to laugh, saying that he looks like an ape, and being overly sensitive, he takes offence, and ends up shaking her to death. The rest of the episodes revolves around a couple of cops trying to solve the mystery of her death. The episode also features other competition level bodybuilders flexing at a contest.

Gary Strydom is a name I've almost forgotten. Yeah, he was jack-off material all right. Also Chris Dickerson, a black bodybuilder was one who would get me all a-tingle to the point that if I did not jerk off I would be so preoccupied with the congestion that I would be worthless. And then, years later, I found out he was an out gay bodybuilder. Yay. In the back pages of Popular Science there was an add for a body building course......Charles Atlas or something like that. When nobody was looking, I would sneak a look in the back of that magazine. All I had on my mind was sex. Even now, going to Home Depot is like going to a man-fest. Drool.
Posted 2 years ago by Member
ManOMan, I know what you mean about Home Depot! There's an Ace Hardware store a few blocks from my house, and every time I have to go there for one reason or another, there always seems to be a man-fest in progress!!! Which reminds me, I think I need a new drill bit.....Be right back......
Posted 2 years ago by Member
Oh, Rob, what are you going to drill? :-)

I LOVE this thread. TOo many memories to remember... (As far as Homo Depot, I ran into this drop-dead gorgeous cashier at the one close to my house, and even though his line was longer, can you guess which lane I got into? OMG, he had arms. Nice, tapered torso. He wore a black polo shirt. But it was his face/eyes that just made me melt. Such a Buff Encounter!)
But I digress. This thread is about childhood fantasies. I once discovered a stash of muscle magazines at a relative's. I'm thinking he was gay, because even though he had a huge supply of pictures of all these musclemen (hidden), he wasn't particularly buff himself. His magazine stash included one particular picture of Frank Zane-- posing with his hands behind his head, his gigantic biceps nearly squishing his head, and his abs deliciously flexed. I came HARD while jacking to that pic. I had to make sure I was pointed to the side, so as not to splatter my essence all over my relatives magazine page!

Frank Zane was hot. One that got me going was Matt Mendenhall. He looked good in clothes and sensational in posers. Muscle mags were, to me, the forerunner of male porn mags like Torso, etc. One publication I liked, but appears to be out of business, was Friction......full of great stories and art.

I agree--Wally was a hunk, but what about that "hunk" brother of Ricky Nelson--David--I lusted after him--as well as sneaking peaks at Charles Atlas in muscle adds and "hands jobs" looking at the pics in the muscle mags that I borrowed from a friend--too afraid to purchase; Cowboys Paladine, James West, Clint Walker, and lots more in their tight pants on horseback (showing the crotch area many times--HOT); Wrestlers: Vern Gagne and son (a lot hunkier), "Gorgeous George", Ricky Martin, Ken Patera;and lots more I can't remember; Tarzan Johnny Westmueller; Steves Reeves,, the old fash Gordon guy (when I was a kid), of course the HUNK on the Hillbillies--- OH MAN __SO MANY HOT< HUNKY GUYS+++and I was SO in the closet!!!
